Effective Date: September 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Shelter Guard Exteriors Inc, doing business as Shelter Guard Roofing and Gutters ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website at shelterguardgutters.com, contact us by phone or text, submit a form, or interact with our advertising across third-party platforms.
By using our website or providing your information to us, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or submit personal information through our forms.
We collect personal information you provide voluntarily when you request an estimate, schedule a service appointment, call our office, send us a text message, or fill out a contact form. This may include your name, email address, phone number, street address, and details about your gutter project or property.
We also collect information automatically when you browse our website, including your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent on each page. This data helps us understand how visitors use the site and where to improve.
Our website uses the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (CAPI) to measure the performance of our Facebook and Instagram advertising. These tools collect data about your activity on our site and send it to Meta Platforms, Inc.
The Meta Pixel places cookies on your browser (specifically the _fbp and _fbc identifiers) and records page views, button clicks, form submissions, phone call clicks, and other interactions you take on our site. When you are logged into Facebook in the same browser, Meta can link this browsing activity to your Facebook account using its own cookies (c_user and fr).
Through our Conversions API, we may also send hashed (encrypted, one-way) versions of your email address or phone number to Meta so it can match your website activity to your Facebook profile for ad measurement purposes. "Hashed" means we convert the data into a scrambled code before sending it. Meta cannot reverse this code back to your actual email or phone number.
Meta uses this information to show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram, measure whether our ads led to actions on our website (conversion tracking), build audiences of people similar to our existing customers (lookalike audiences), and attribute leads and sales back to specific ad campaigns. Meta acts as an independent data controller for the information it receives, meaning Meta also has its own policies for how it handles your data. You can review Meta's Data Policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
You can adjust your ad preferences directly through Facebook at facebook.com/adpreferences. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from Facebook and other participating companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.
We use Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and interact with our website, and to measure the performance of our Google search and display advertising.
Google places cookies on your browser when you click one of our ads or visit our site. These cookies record which pages you visited, which actions you took (such as submitting a form or clicking a phone number), your general geographic location, your device and browser information, and your referral source. Google may also use its own cookies across other sites you visit to show you relevant ads based on your browsing history (remarketing).
If Google Enhanced Conversions is active, we may send hashed versions of your email address or phone number to Google after you submit a form, so Google can measure whether our ad led to that action. The same hashing process described in Section 2 applies here.
You can opt out of Google's personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data during your visits. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes.
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functioning correctly, such as remembering form inputs during a session or routing your request to the right server.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand which pages are visited most, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads) track conversions from our ad campaigns and enable remarketing, as described in Sections 2 and 3 above.
Most web browsers let you control cookies through their settings. You can block or delete cookies at any time. Blocking cookies may affect site functionality but will not prevent you from contacting us by phone.
If you provide your mobile phone number through one of our forms, during a phone call, or through a text message you initiate, you may receive text messages from us related to your gutter service inquiry, appointment reminders, service updates, or follow-up communications.
By providing your mobile number and submitting a form on our website, you consent to receive recurring text messages from Shelter Guard Gutters related to the service you inquired about. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service from us.
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us. You may receive anywhere from one message to several messages per week during an active project or inquiry.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You can also reply HELP for assistance. After you send STOP, we will confirm your opt-out and you will not receive further text messages from that number unless you re-opt in.
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
We will not share your mobile phone number or any information collected through SMS with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
We use the information we collect to respond to your requests for estimates, service appointments, and project information. We use it to schedule and confirm appointments, communicate with you about your gutter project, send follow-up messages after a completed service, measure and improve our advertising performance, analyze website traffic and user behavior to improve the site, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances.
Service providers: We share information with companies that help us run our business, including our CRM and scheduling platform (GoHighLevel), our scheduling and dispatch software (HouseCallPro), and our payment processor. These providers access your data only to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect it.
Advertising platforms: As described in Sections 2 and 3, we share hashed identifiers and website activity data with Meta and Google for ad measurement and targeting purposes.
Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls within our CRM, and secure hosting. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices.
Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, request that we delete your personal information, opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (as those terms are defined under California law), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Our use of advertising cookies and pixels may constitute "sharing" of personal information under California law. You can opt out of this sharing using the advertising opt-out links in Sections 2 and 3 above, or by contacting us directly.
Georgia does not currently have a consumer data privacy law equivalent to California's. However, we extend the ability to request access to or deletion of your personal information to all of our customers regardless of location. Contact us using the information below to make a request.
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry standard for how websites should respond to this signal, and our site does not currently alter its behavior based on a Do Not Track request. However, the opt-out mechanisms described in Sections 2 and 3 remain available to you.
Our website may contain links to other websites that we do not operate. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of any third-party site. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of our website after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
